Inspired by the traditional fish skin craftsmanship of the Nanai people, Duidui Fish Skin & Luffa Collection brings together an ancient natural material and another simple gift from nature — luffa.
For generations, the Nanai people have developed traditional techniques for carefully removing, drying and preparing fish skin, transforming a material from the river into clothing, footwear and everyday objects.
Duidui draws inspiration from this deep relationship between people, nature and craftsmanship, reimagining the character of natural fish skin in a new way — for curious cats and everyday enrichment.
Combined with natural luffa fibre, each toy brings together two distinctive natural textures and sensory experiences in one playful design.

For generations, the Nanai people have developed traditional ways of working with fish skin.
Fish skin was carefully removed from the fish, dried and prepared before being sewn into practical everyday items. Through generations of craftsmanship, a material that might otherwise have been discarded was transformed into something useful, durable and beautiful.
This traditional relationship with natural materials is at the heart of Duidui’s inspiration.
